Search Results Overview + Video
Did you know, clicking on any blue hyperlink on the Search Results page adds it to your search criteria? It is another way we’ve made Omniscience responsive to your queries and questions as they unfold. The only exception is clicking on the provider's name: Then you will be taken to the detailed dossier (profile page) available on each healthcare provider.
Individuals
The information displayed for individuals (i.e. physicians, mid-levels, etc) includes:
- Specialty: displays the primary specialty of the individual
- Affiliation: a derived assignment based on the facility where the physician has treated the most patients, most recently
- Practice: a derived assignment based on matching demographic information with a known medical group
- Contact: the location and phone number of the affiliated practice
- Utilization: counts of services or beneficiaries for the codes included in your search criteria
Organizations
The information displayed for organizations (i.e. hospitals, surgery centers, dialysis centers, etc) includes:
- Specialty: displays the primary specialty of the organization
- Affiliation: click on the link to drill into a list of physicians affiliated with the facility (i.e. those physicians that billed insurance claims for services delivered at the facility); note, only affiliated physicians that meet your search criteria will be displayed
- Health System, IDN, Group Purchasing System (GPO): affiliations with other parent organizations or networks, if applicable and known
- Contact: the location and phone number of the main location of the facility
- Utilization: counts of services or beneficiaries for the codes included in your search criteria
By default, the providers will be sorted based on the sum of procedures or services as defined in your search criteria. Click on the header of those results to sort by an individual code or filter rather than the default.
