Overview + Video
The difference between a codeset and a saved search is that codesets are made ONLY of codes and medical hierarchies, whereas saved searches take codesets and build them into more complex searches, for example by adding geography.
Instructions
Step 1
You can build your own saved search by loading a codeset or by adding medical codes from scratch using the right-hand side panel.
Step 2
Once you have a codeset loaded, you can specify a geography by selecting a state, entering a city, or by entering a zip code.
Step 3
You might also choose to select Individuals, Orgs, or Systems.
Be sure to click “Search” to ensure all of your filters are loaded.
Step 4
Finally, click “Save Search”.
Once you click Save Search, it will take you to the screen pictured below. Add the Name and Description then hit SAVE SEARCH in the bottom right-hand corner.
Step 5
When saving a codeset make sure CODESET is highlighted. When saving as a CODESET you can only save codes, additional criteria such as geography will not save.
