Overview
The difference between a codeset and a saved search is that codesets are made ONLY of codes and medical hierarchies, whereas saved searches take codesets and build them into more complex searches, for example by adding geography. Please see the steps below on how to create a custom codeset.
Instructions
You can create a custom codeset when running a facility report based on specific CPT codes by following the steps below.
- Select the facility you wish to run the report on, click on the "Run Report" button, and select the report you would like to run for that facility.
2. On the Codeset field on the Overall Settings page, click on the "+" on the right-hand side. This will open a window that will allow you to create a new codeset.
3. In the New Codeset window, you can name your codeset and add an optional description. Select "+ Add a new code" and choose which codes you would like to have included.
4. When completed, click "Create." The window will collapse and the new codeset will automatically generate in the Codeset field on the Overall Settings page. Finally, click "Run Report"
NOTE: You can also create a new custom codeset on the search page by scrolling to Custom Codesets in the filters section on the right-hand side of the page. Then follow steps 3 and as shown above.
